Alumnotes Oscar Feldman '94 1994 Saxophonist Oscar Feldman of New York City released his debut album, Oscar e Familia. He also plays with Berklee faculty member Dave Samuels and his Caribbean Jazz Project. Visit www.oscarfeldman.ar. Alfredo Villela of Marblehead, MA, released the CD Detachment, an album of shamanic music created to assist those seeking to quit addictive or destructive behaviors. Blending old and new instrumentation, Villela plays pre-Hispanic Mexican instruments as well as synthesziers. 1995 Walter Gross, of Brooklyn, NY, EMI Music's senior director of digital marketing, announced Blue Note Records' new Spotify App. Pianist Paulo Tozzi of São Paulo, Brazil, has released two albums: a CD of duos and trios and a solo piano CD. 1996 Bleu of Los Angeles, CA, completed a successful PledgeMusic campaign to fund his fifth album To Hell with You. Julián Graciano of Buenos Aires, Argentina, released the CD Caminos with his Tango En Tres trio. 34 Berklee Today today Julián Graciano '96 Stefan Redtenbacher of Hampshire, England, and his group Redtenhbacher's Funkestra released the album A Very Funky Christmas. Brian Satterwhite '97 1998 Sheryl Cohen of Brooklyn, NY, and Chris Young received a Grammy nomination in the Best Pop Performance category for the Olivia Brown song "Everything Will Be Alright." Zoe Rahman won the Best Jazz Act Award at the 2012 Music of Black Origin Awards held in the United Kingdom. JC Monterrosa of Murfreesboro, TN, and JJ Brown released the song "Say A Little Prayer." He appeared in Bass Musician magazine, and recorded "I Forgot To Be Your Lover" for the film The Man With The Iron Fists. Tom Childs of Lansing, MI, completed a doctorate in composition and is a theory instructor at Interlochen Center For The Arts. Richard Furch of North Hollywood, CA, mixed and recorded Tyrese's album Open Invitation. Its single "Stay" topped the Urban Contemporary chart and won in the Song of the Year category at the Soul Train Awards 2012. Furch also did mixing for Frank Ocean's recording Nostalgia Ultra.
