Vocalist Johanna Grüssner of Stockholm, Sweden, released Come Rain or Come Shine, a CD featuring a program of jazz and Latin standards. Fredrik Gille '95 played percussion on the disc. Singer/songwriter Markku Kietala of Helsinki, Finland, played all instru- ments for and engineered the record- ing The Poet, The Bard, The Pagan for his solo project South of the Rubicon. Guitarist Torsten de Winkel of Neu- Isenburg, Germany, is the director of Bimbache openART, a global initia- tive that hosts an annual music fes- tival in the Canary Islands. UNESCO has hailed the effort's artistic coop- eration among world cultures. De Winkel is also a member of bassist Hellmut Hattler's German jazz-elec- tronica ensemble. Guitarist Ian McHugh of Newtown, CT, is touring the United States back- ing Javier Colon, the winner of season one of The Voice. 1998 Film composer Joey Newman of Santa Monica, CA, released the soundtrack to the 9/11 film The Space Between, which aired on the 10th anniversary of 9/11. He also wrote the score for Any Day Now, which pre- miered at the Tribeca Film Festival in April. 1999 Singer/songwriter and guitarist Peter Kelly of Yonkers, NY, released the EP Forever, Again.
